Natto is high in protein, calcium, iron, and niacin and aide in the smooth functioning of the intestine.

It has so many wonderful effect on our health.  I makes my own Natto. This is the link how to make Natto.

Natto has a strong smell, so you may love it or you dislike it. My mother did not like it, but my father, my brother and I loved it. We ate almost every breakfast while I was growing up in Japan.

Natto is high in protein, calcium, iron, and niacin and aide in the smooth functioning of the intestine.

It has so many wonderful effect on our health. You can buy most Asian grocery store. Usually in frozen section. I usually defrost overnight in refrigerator.

After defrosted, then you can stir the beans, it will become stickier as you stir more. The more you stir, the more Nattokinase produce. You can add grated radish, and other vegetables too. I like to top up with Scallion condiment.

There are so many link to this Natto. It is worth while of your time to envestigate it.

The below was some article in MactobioticsAmerica Website;

Whatta Natto?
Some people call natto "the 'limburger' of the soy world".  Natto, made from cultured soybeans, takes on a very thready texture between the soybeans with a strong flavor and aroma.  Even though natto is a food foreign to most Westerners,. Natto's health benefits are pretty spectacular.  It moves blood circulation, which is great for those who have cold hands and feet due to poor blood circulation.  Natto is also spleen supportive and digestive supportive.  Natto's unique culture also boosts the immune system.
Scientific research has revealed such a rich palette of health benefits, that many Westerners have adapted their palate to include this unusual food that is naturally rich in vitamin K2.
Here are some of the health benefits natto can provide:
Protection from Alzheimer by removing plaque from the brain
Prevention and reversal of arterial sclerosis and hypertension
Anti-inflammatory properties promote joint health and reduce arthritic pain
Dissolves blood clots, offering protection from strokes (many people take aspirin for cardiovascular protection, but natto does this without the side effects of aspirin.)
Reduces bone loss, particularly in post-menopausal and older women
Promotes healthy skin
Even though natto has been around for centuries, it's a new current "buzzword" on many wholistic health sites.  Of course, it has commonly been refined and "Westernized" and turned into a supplement called nattokinase.  But again, from a macrobiotic perspective, why not take natto in its whole form, as it is inexpensive, easy and fun to make.  Plus you can be confident that it is made from organic, non-GMO soybeans.
