Subaru Exhaust Repair

This is our courtesy car 98 Subaru Outback. The intermediate pipe with Catalytic convertor was broken off. We could see inside catalysis, it is still in good condition. The pipes are still strong enough. We decided to fix it. We made a sleeve to fit over the front pipe and fit inside catalytic convertor opening.

The sleeve is only 5 inches long, 1 7/8 inch diameter. We enlarged one end and cut many slits to the other end to make diameter smaller. After we fitted the sleeve inside Catalytic convertor and mig-welded all around. We cut section of front pipe so we can fit our sleeve easier. I think we made a another smart fix.
