Key fob (remote control)

Remote Control Unit,

The car was Nissan Maxima. Complaint was that a remote control was no longer working, so he can only un/lock door manually. We tested the battery power for the hand-held remote switch. It was good, so we printed out the wiring diagram and tested the circuit for power, ground and continuity. All were OK. This leave to only the Remote Control Main Unit. We removed and took it apart to examine the inside. As you see the picture there were two problems. There was are a burnt section and a cold soldering issue. We put a piece of wire to bridge where it was burnt and repaired the cold solder. Reinstalled and all worked well. The control unit was almost $300.00, so it was a good saving for this client and less waste.
